I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
